Do Exmormons leave for greener grass?

July 9, 2010

My latest post can be found at Main Street Plaza. This post is a response to an article at Times and Seasons — “Wanted: Greener Grass“.

Dane’s article at Times and Seasons is pretty reasonable. Why might Exmormons leave the church? (Perhaps to get to greener grass). But is the grass even greener outside of the church? (Well…funny thing is…)

However, even if this chain works out, this isn’t flattering for the church. If we are taught that the church’s grass is superior, restored, and full, then shouldn’t finding out that the church grass is just on par with everyone else’s grass be a great let down?
